Summary

RNDC is looking for a talented category manager for indirect procurement to join our growing team. The Category Manager, Indirect Procurement will be responsible for the delivery and execution of strategic sourcing projects related to indirect procurement across the RNDC footprint. In this role, you will develop and execute the category and sourcing strategies, driving all due diligence activity, including identification of Indirect Suppliers, Indirect Supplier selection through analytics, negotiations, and Indirect Supplier relationship management. Post go-live of negotiating the agreements, you will be the primary liaison for the Indirect Supplier relationships, working to define and operationalize all governance processes, including contract management, service life cycle management, performance management, financial and business case management, risk and compliance management and program management in the event of service delivery issues.

In this role, you will

  • Design, develop and implement the Category Procurement Strategy 
  • Prepare and execute negotiations and tenders in a structured way, for new and existing suppliers and implement the terms and conditions negotiated after they are concluded 
  • Deliver the expected financial performance of the category, and committed targets and KPI’s 
  • Contribute to the annual budget, interact with the businesses to include their needs and expectations while encouraging maximum business engagement 
  • Encourage full utilization of all spend management System processes (Spend, Contracts, Projects) by all parties to ensure visibility and transparency of the category 
  • Follow and understand the category market trends in order to manage and exploit changing business conditions 
  • Generate value and savings by identifying new suppliers, key procurement opportunities, and consolidating existing suppliers; as well as identifying new opportunities to create more competition, improve current service provision, promote innovation and/or generate new supplier services 
  • Challenge supplier organizations to deliver improvements in cost, service levels, quality, availability, and value for money 

 

What you bring to RNDC

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial or technical study
  • Minimum of 5 years procurement experience with various Indirect categories
  • Experience in a large corporate environment with multiple business units, operating in multiple locations and a decentralized management structure
  • Analytical skills, good knowledge of business analysis and costing - TCO models
  • Basic knowledge of legal documents, able to read and interpret contracts, and involve the legal support only when necessary
  • Availability to travel as needed to various locations during business reviews
