Summary

RNDC is seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.

In this role, you will

Develop and maintain rich interactive visualizations by interpreting and analyzing data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Translate business requirements, reporting needs, and data use cases into analytical models and feature-rich visualizations that are easily consumable.
Evaluate data systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, identifying areas for process improvement and data cleansing.
Collaborate with other data professionals to source and combine data, fostering a collaborative environment for data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with data engineering and data governance teams to identify data reliability and quality issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Advocate for best practices in data analysis and visualization, and actively engage in continued learning to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

What you bring to RNDC

Understanding of the differences between a Data Warehouse and a Data Lake.
Knowledge of one or more data modeling methodologies such as Kimball, Inmon, or Data Vault.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, promoting efficient and collaborative work practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex data issues.
Excellent time-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient numerical and analytical skills, with a Bachelor's or Technical School focus in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent field.
Strong SQL or Excel skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to other analytic tools such as Microstrategy, Power BI, and Python/R.
