Summary

The Division Manager of Business Performance Management – Portfolio drives strategic growth and operational efficiency across RNDC, reporting to an EVP. This role leads a team focused on supplier management within assigned states, covering supplier strategy, sales and operations planning, program execution, inventory management, and sales growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with strong analytical capabilities, experience in sales and portfolio management, and a deep understanding of beverage alcohol market dynamics and supplier operations. This position collaborates with suppliers, sales teams, portfolio managers, sales operations, and commercial finance to develop and execute impactful programs, track performance, and optimize inventory to exceed business objectives.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and mentor a team of Portfolio Managers, fostering a data-driven culture of accountability and continuous improvement while collaborating with local and corporate leadership to define and align strategic objectives.
  • Partner with Sales Vice Presidents to set and communicate supplier sales goals, track key programs, and keep the sales team informed.
  • Oversee long-range planning, annual plans, and monthly/quarterly reporting, ensuring targets and local programming are communicated and achieved.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor performance to drive revenue growth strategies and optimize promotional activities with marketing teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and supplier partners to implement business initiatives and drive profitable supplier strategies.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Intelligence teams to execute performance scorecards, dashboards, and reports to track key metrics such as financial performance, sales growth, and market share.
  • Present monthly reviews to cross-functional teams and senior management, offering actionable insights to optimize opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Manage pre-sells, holiday VAP orders, and allocated items for assigned portfolios while ensuring inventory optimization and program success.
  • Develop brand plan calendars and initiatives to drive KPIs, regularly communicating progress and ensuring effective sales execution.
  • Lead supplier review meetings alongside Portfolio Managers, driving follow-ups and actionable steps to align internal teams and key suppliers.
     

What you bring to RNDC

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales Management or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of related experience, with at least three years in a management role (experience in the alcoholic beverage industry is highly preferred).
  • Experience in a management position at a supplier or wholesale distributor is preferred, with a strong focus on departmental performance and operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex documents, write compelling business presentations, and deliver persuasive speeches to senior management and public groups.
  • Proficient in advanced mathematical concepts (e.g., algebra, statistics) with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions and manage abstract and concrete variables in dynamic situations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; experience with database and supply chain software is highly preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar qualifications are a plus but not required.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, excellent analytical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and demonstrated learning agility with tools like EPM or similar platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
