Summary
The AR manager supports the organization by leading the Key accounts AR analyst and a portion of the shared service organization in achieving the departmental goals and maintaining a healthy AR portfolio. The manager is experienced in working with accounts receivables in a high transaction B2B environment, including portal account customers. The role oversees the daily operations of the AR analysts (on shore) and manages the performance of 3rd party offshore functions including timely and accurate collections, credit reviews, account reconciliation and issue resolution. This position will also drive continuous improvement, upload SOP compliance, assist in training, audit and strategic initiatives. The AR manager must have ERP working experience and requires high attention to detail. The leader should have a history of successfully minimizing AR exposure. The individual must be able to prioritize and direct work while fostering collaboration across departments such as Sales, Customer Service, IT, Operations and others.
In this role, you will
- Lead and provide oversight to the Key Account AR analysts and Shared Services AR team to ensure timely payments are received and to track AR accounts with customer records
- Directly manage the collaboration and performance of 3rd party AR teams (BPO resources) as required
- Ensure departmental policies and SOPS are up to date and followed by all teams. Train new and existing AR team members, create standard work procedures
- Assist AR analysts in resolving issues, discrepancies and account reconciliation.
- Manage the Financial performance (DSO)/AR finance reserves of the Corporation. Execute write-offs and refunds with appropriate management approvals as required.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose system or procedural enhancements that support the company’s financial and operational goals. Escalate process improvement opportunities to leadership
- Conduct regular 1:1s with the analysts to review customer accounts and updates, as well as provide collaborated direction to achieve individual KPIs
- Assist in forecasting efforts to monitor trends that might indicate at-risk accounts
- Work with third party software vendor(s) to ensure OTC best practices and implement software solutions on budget and on-time
- Act as a liaison between AR and departments such as Sales, Customer Service, IT, Operations and others.
What you bring to RNDC
- High school diploma or technical school required; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred
- 5–8 years in Order to Cash (OTC), Accounts Receivable, Sales Support, or Customer Service staff management preferred
- 3 or more years managing third-party AR provider performance
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the capacity to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
- English fluency required
- Advanced math and data analysis capability; ability to define problems, interpret technical instructions, and work with abstract concepts
- Large ERP experience with AR modules; highly proficient in Excel, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Limited travel required (less than 10%); ability to meet physical demands of the role with reasonable accommodations
