Summary
The Director of Sales will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities across one or more divisions. This role involves formulating and developing long-term goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with critical business operations, and driving success by meeting and exceeding targets through the following duties.
In this role, you will
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve division objectives for sales and revenue, including competitive analysis and strategy formulation.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and customers to support business growth.
- Organize and structure the sales team to ensure appropriate staffing and effective territory management.
- Communicate sales goals and strategies to the sales team, analyzing performance data to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain relationships with community, governmental entities, and internal departments to support company operations.
- Create monthly sales forecasts and collaborate with the Sales Finance Team for product procurement.
- Provide guidance on pricing and margin strategies, ensuring compliance with approved pricing and sales regulations.
- Gather and act on customer feedback to refine sales strategies and ensure account management and credit compliance.
What you bring to RNDC
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Four to ten years of related experience, with at least five years in management, preferably with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier.
- Ability to read and interpret business documents, write reports, and present information; Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
- Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts like probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret technical instructions and handle abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and order processing systems (e.g., AS400, Logility, Microstrategy) with an aptitude for learning new software.
- Familiarity with desktop and tablet computers, PDAs, CRM software, and database management.
- Ability to adapt to various work environments; travel as needed.
