Summary
The Credit Manager will work within a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibility which includes but is not limited to, managing cash application, account reconcilement and credit release functions
In this role, you will
- Responsible for managing the collections of checks returned by the bank for non-sufficient funds. Responsible for following all Alcoholic Beverage Control laws, Business and Professions Code and Company policies as they pertain to credit and collections.
- Responsible for allocating time off for employees according to business needs and union contracts. Responsible for payroll and tracking employees’ variable pay.
- Review collection portfolios by collector and determine the collectability of the accounts.
- Refer accounts over 12 months old to the Manager AR & Customer Success and or Director of Credit for a bad debt write-off. Responsible for reconciliation of all incoming monies to their appropriate customer and transaction.
- Responsible for reconciliation of credit card transactions.
- Responsible for interfacing with the corporate accounting department and AR Accountant regarding bank reconciliation.
- Interface with Express Stores on daily cash reconciliation and credit policies and procedures.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of new employees; performance appraisals; following the union contract as it pertains to disciplinary action and time and attendance policies of employees.
- Adhere to Federal and State laws.
- Provides daily supervision to Team Lead(s) and front-line Credit Clerks, Coaches and trains employees, Oversees the development and adherence of SOPs for departmental actions
What you bring to RNDC
- Bachelor's degree from a college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- minimum of 5-7 years of accounts receivable experience; and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a working understanding of general ledgers
- The position will require a customer service-oriented individual with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and A/R reconciliation with an accounting background.
