Summary
RNDC is looking for an Innovative and Energetic Inventory Planning Manager to join our Amazing RNDC team. The Manager Inventory Planning is responsible for managing an inventory planning team focused on maximizing gross margin, optimizing service levels, and reducing inventory carrying costs. They will be responsible for all demand and supply planning processes including creation of demand, procurement, and inventory plans to support both 13-week and 18-month planning horizons. The role will work directly with suppliers to resolve issues throughout the RNDC network. They will support key initiatives from the Supplier Business Development teams and sales, providing guidance on optimal supply chain and inventory plans to achieve business objectives. This individual will work closely with our Supply Chain COE to implement and continuously improve and optimize our inventory planning processes.
In this role, you will
- Manage an inventory planning team (8-12 inventory and demand planners) including setting group and individual employee goals, providing formal and informal feedback, and coaching direct reports towards high performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to all strategic supply planning initiatives and implement policies, best-practices, and KPI tracking across the business.
- Develop integrated plans and KPIs to monitor performance that safeguard uninterrupted supply of products.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with inventory planning and drive adoption of the S&OP process.
- Monitor product life cycle changes and mitigate risks of excess and aged/obsolete inventory.
- Review network capacity planning processes to identify demand and supply imbalances and create recommendations to resolve.
- Establish and maintain safety stock targets for each SKU as well as monitor adherence to those targets and provide visibility to supply chain leadership team as needed.
- Develop and implement programs to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital performance.
- Provide input to assist in vendor strategies, processes, and operational requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans with tasks assignments, due dates. Facilitate consistent follow-up with team and other resources to deliver results on target.
- Drive results in a matrix environment.
What you bring to RNDC
BA/BS degree required. Concentration in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Finance or Business Administration preferred. 7-10 years of relevant industry experience require Knowledge of Blue Ridge SCP and IBP modules, MicroStrategy, Excel, PowerPoint,
